This is for all of you in that area of power running e85, and will help out both me in the future and my buddy currently. aiming for the area of 700whp maybe more, how much pump is required? Currently my buddy has a glenns sleeper tank, 10an feed into 6an Y fitting, two walbro gss342's, with dual 6an feed lines running to each rail and single 6an return. He's got a ysi 2v on e85, 105lb injectors, the right setup for some 7-750 numbers we're really just not sure if the pumps will supply enough fuel. Is stepping up to a tripple pump setup required here, or are there a little better external pumps that he can upgrade to? and He'd like to stay away from one big single because of the noise of them, but if the price is right on one he might go that route. all opinions and suggestions are welcome.

While I cant attest to the walbro setup, I run a single A1000 at 40psi through 80# injectors with no problem. Making 660 at the wheel on a safe tune. Same setup with the -10 line to a -6y then to the fuel rails.

I'm running a glenns external sumped tank. Dual -10 out to twin "pro" 044 pumps from jayracing driven by jayracings wire & relay kit. I trapped 135 with FRPP 80s and a single -8 feed. I have since upgraded to ID1000s and I plan on replacing the feed with -10 next year.

The pumps with -10 should be enough volume to support 1000rwhp on e85.

Those are summit racing -10 low pressure filters right off the sump.

when I looked up the jayracing pro 044's, seems as if they flow very similar numbers to the gss342's. are you saying with the jay's, or similar like already on the car, with bigger lines will supply the fuel needed? I figured dual 6an would be plenty as it seems most cars only have single 8an feed, sometimes single 10an, and I would think a dual 6an would be comparable to a single 10 in terms of flow.

Pro 044 is rated 250lph @ 73psi and is female threaded so I could directly adapt to AN hose ends rather than having to slip on and clamp hoses.

Either way will work. I'm just showing another perspective.

Here you go. Not showing data for the pro 044, but the standard 044. You can see the walbro doesn't hang when the pressure gets up there. This is important with E85 and FRPP 80s or ID1000s as both of those injectors perform very well with 60psi differential pressure. Keep in mind there is no boost reference on the pump so it sees total pressure + whatever pressure drop there is across the feed lines and high pressure filter. So 80-90psi isn't as hard to reach as you would at first glance think once you look at 50 or 60psi deltaP + 20psi of boost.

the walbro's my buddy has is the same design, female threads that i put the hose directly on. is that graph comparing the normal intank walbro 255's or the actual external gss342's? if it really is the 342's, then it may be worth switching to the 044's. how loud are they?

Nevermind, that test was indeed the intank walbro 255, I wonder now if the external 342 is any different in terms of flow.

My 044s sing pretty good but I don't hear them over the exhaust unless I'm at idle, and even then it's not the most noticeable sound.

I have a rear seat delete so everything is louder in my car.
