Still at it. Zach towed the car from Atlanta to Denver, where I live to run Street Car Takeover with the intent to get the 9 second pass. First pass, he wanted me to raise the boost (22 ramping to 24 PSI above 6.5k RPM - we made 830whp at 20 PSI) and annihilate a 9 second pass... But we annihilated the clutch instead. We later found the transmission cracked and was putting fluid on the clutch. To save the clutch, I brought the boost down to 15 PSI ramping up to 17 PSI and ran a 10.4 at 153 mph (at 8k+ ft DA!) with a bogged launch. After this pass, we noticed low oil pressure. Turns out, and we knew it would happen, the stock replacement rod bearings couldn't take it. All of them were starting to deform. NOW, Zach is putting together the aluminum rod motor with race bearings and O-rings and trying to make Indy for SCT this weekend. For reference, a test roll hit against my STi. I ran a 12.4 @ 112 in my STi on an 8,700 DA day and out of WGDC on my IWG and 3-port EBCS (hitting 2 PSI less than target). The setup is a bit different now... Bigger turbo and custom intake manifold, plus proper cams (last set were shitty regrinds). It makes power easily now.
