Hey guys, I'm normally over on the SN95 side of things, but wanted to pop over here real quick and get some questions answered.

First of all, I've always wanted a Lightning, but due to life events and all that stuff, could never really pull the trigger on the right one. Now however, a nice 2002 has popped up locally with a blown motor. Now I know that the 5.4's are a decent motor, but I was wondering has anyone thought of doing a 7.3 Godzilla swap in one?

Foxcast Media briefly touched on this very subject a while back and showed a Harley Davidson F150 with a 7.3 swap in the process of being done. I've tried looking through his playlists and he lists I think it was 2 videos where he's talking about it a little bit, but never really gets into the nitty-gritty about it, like what works and what doesn't work, and we don't know if he ever finished it because I can't find anymore videos on the matter out there.

Has anyone done this swap on a Lightning before? Any potential problems to be aware of? Oil pan clearances? Motor mounts? Trans ideas? 6 speed or 10 speed?

Yes, been done

There was a gen 1 and a gen 2 Lightning, both with godzilla swaps, at sema this within the last couple of years. Think there's a couple videos of people talking to the owners floating around on YouTube

I can't find anything on Youtube! Sheesh, if you find them, can you post them up here?

It will fit with ease, but all the controls would make the swap a serious chore. For my money I'd go for a 4V GT500 swap. That will run off the factory ECU. Hard to beat a Coyote - 6R80 setup as well, as it is well scienced out.
That may be well and good but PUSHROD BIG BLOCK

WE WANT THE CHOP!
