I'm looking forward to a full reveal. I hope to see a V8 still in the car.

I'm also hoping Dodge brings the Viper back, and keep a V10.

I cannot wait to see how the DCT acts and what power the base will have.

Should be a killer ride. Not sold on the looks above the camo though. Maybe it's got some really nice lines?

I've been less than interested in this car, I like the corvette as it is. Hopefully the camo is really doing its job but every angle I have seen of this car just looks goofy.

So now people are going to be able to step into a mid engine super car in a few years, getting one of these on the used market. Something they would have never dreamed of being able to do before.

How can anyone view this as a bad thing??

To those that think it is, what were they going to do to progress with the current front engine design? It was pretty much maxed out with the C6 ZR1.

The current ZR1 is what $140,000 for that price there are much better platforms out there. This was an easy logical next step.

Still holding my thoughts on it’s appearance. I still don’t like the current one, guess it never grew on me.

The worst kept secret in the automotive world.

The people who want to like it will, and the ones who want to hate will as well.

Either way, the overall dynamic improvents by going mid will be undeniable. Will simply be able to do some things you just can’t in a front engine setup.

Can only imagine how the current ZR1 would perform if it was mid engined, vs. completely overpowering it’s chassis like it does today.

What will make it to dealer lots first, the C8 or GT500? LOL

Is anyone actually paying $140 though? I see them on the lot at $120-125k

This was my first thought - that the GT500 was king for the brief moment b/w when it was released but did not hit dealer lots. Base mid engine vette will probably give it a run for the money on the track.

Don’t hold your breath for the latter to come back with a V10. I bet the viper comes back but I think many purists will be disappointed with the drivetrain simply due to cylinder count. Just my opinion

Even if the GT500 hits lots first we still might know the Corvette power numbers before know the GT500...sad

For $140k, what is better than the cz ZR1?
GT500 will not be faster than the C7Zr1 by a long shot

911 Turbo starts at $160k. Same ballpark, IMO the 911 is a better car.

I was going to mention the 911 specifically turbo. It's just a superior car fit and finish.
