Hey guys! I snapped the Intermediate Shaft on my 2016 Mustang GT 6R80 Transmission and I was wondering the best course of action for building it back up! I'm putting down 722 RWHP / 549 Ft-Lbs of Torque and the stock trans lasted 2 months. This car is my Daily Driver so I want this bad Larry to be bullet proof for years to come. The transmission is gutted and I'm just waiting for the parts to be shipped to me.

So far I have:
-Exedy Stage 2 Clutches and Steeles
-TCS 300M Billet Intermediate Shaft
-Circle D 245mm Dual-Disc Torque Converter, 3000 Stall

Is there anything else I need or is that about it to make the 6R80 reliable for my application?

there is one more part u can get but I've only seen it break on a car going 8.20's and haven't seen that particular part break in any others so I wouldn't worry. U have everything there is to get for the 6r80.

supposedly there are a couple other parts being made to make the 6r80 hold up to 7 second power but thats 1400+ hp essentially so ur good.

surprised u broke the input shaft at that hp level but it happens.

Awesome thanks guys I appreciate the advise. I should have asked these questions before installing the supercharger and supporting mods.

I'll never forget the feeling though. It sheared when I did a 4th gear pull on the empty freeway. I shifted at 7600 RPMs into 5th and Kuh-Boom, limp mode.

I'm back with an update and pictures! Had some worn to hell clutch plates aswell.

New transmission is just simply outstanding. Shifts are powerful and immediate. Very strong feel.
