6 or 8k HID bulbs (fogs too) on 13-14 cars

has anyone replaced the factory HID bulbs with 6 or 8k bulbs? fogs too? preferably C/S fogs, seen the kit on hidguy.net, pics if you've got them

I think the factory bulbs are 4300k They will be the brightest. Anything above that will start getting Blue and won't be as bright.

I have 5k on my lower Roush Fogs...they are only very slightly bluish when you first turn them on..once they warm up, they look very nice and "CLEAN" white.

Some dude had some 15k purple hids on the road last night. They looked so lame and didn't light up the road at all.

I have 4300 look like oem color and if u have option get 55 watt ballast alot brighter
You don't want to run a 50-55W system in the fog lights. The heat will be too great for the size of the housing and will cause issues with the lens warping

50-55W is fine in the headlights, but 35W is more than sufficient for the fog lights.

My personal opinion, get a 50W 5000K kit for the headlights, and a 35W 4300K for the fog lights. The headlights will actually output closer to the 4300K color but be about 15% brighter than a 35W 4300K setup.
