5spd or auto

I am probably going to get an '84 or '85 Vert sometime soon. My question is which one is better to have in a convertible a 5spd. or an auto. I know the 5spd. has more power and all but what do you guys think? :-?

Oh man. There's no debate for me. I would go with the 5-speed every time. WAY more fun. There's NOTHING like rowing through the gears in a loud V8 Mustang, no matter how fast it is! JMHO

Any car, no matter if it's a Civic or a Ferrari is more fun with a stick.

Go with the 5 speed in the 84 or 85. The automatics use the CFI fuel injection which was pretty "crappy," in my opinion. The 5 speeds got the 4 barrell carb. Fuel injection has improved by leaps and bounds since then and is the way to go now days, but I would avoid getting a CFI car as there is little or no support for this setup.

The 5 speeds are also a lot of fun, unless your stuck in commuter traffic...
