2snakes: I was able to get a $5k ADM but the allocation guy told me their standard Shelby markup is ten.

But thanks for making the offer, it wouldn't surprise me if you get some extra business for it.

and tell him that if he doesn't cooperate i'm hookin my wagon to that horse

Me thinks that strategy won't work very often in this current environment. I even mentioned this in jest to my salesman and while he acknowledged that the C8 may be a great vehicle, if I dropped out, he said he would have absolutely no trouble selling my order.

I think it's crazy to pay anything over msrp for a car that's going to be mass produced.

Define "mass produced".

My definition of "mass produced" is building more __________ (GT350R in this scenario) than there are active and willing buyers for in a short amount of time. By this definition, the GT350R is not, mass produced.

So more than 100 or 500 or 1000 or 10000 units is mass produced?

What did you expect him to say? He might need to sell the farm if you walk and purchase a C8? LOL

These cars will be Ford Family plan in no time. Basically 100k for something they had in 2014 minus the manual transmission that we still want.

Brutal.

What would you like to bet? I'll wager $10,000.

Bet what? That these Cobras, I mean Shelbys are going to sell under sticker once they are at dealers? Do you think they are always going to fetch 5k over sticker? You know what they say about a sucker and his money right?

That's not what you said, period.

You said that "these cars will be Ford Family plan in no time."

Which isn't true. Accept the bet, or move on and accept you're wrong.

Whats the discount rate off sticker for your bet?

You were the one that set the stage.

So the bet is:

1.) If Ford makes the GT350/R A/Z Plan eligible, you win $10,000.
2.) If Ford doesn't make the GT350/R A/Z Plan eligible, I win $10,000.

By the way, I'll take it in cash. I'll fly down to Conroe and pick it up at your front door.
