Watch the video. Doing what I have done for a number of years....a great number of years I will say this. 1. Yes I would have helped the girl being jumped. I have step into situations like that before. 2. NO I would have not pushed the little girl or engaged with her. 3. Yes it is hard to keep emotions in check, and yes he did THE WRONG THING by pushing her. 4. By pushing her he indeed escalated the issue. Yes when he punched her the rest ran, but indeed the law will frown on that, and by the 911 calls you see the results. 5. Yes youth today are bad. But sorry, to many of you are watching far to many "Boys n da Hood" movies to think a 11 year old is packing heat. 6. After he broke up the fight, he should have escorted her back INDOORS, to a store perhaps where the doors could have been locked, or the Mall security could have been forced to act. 7. From what I saw he looked around as if he was panicked. I'm sure if he would have put some bass in his voice and put some choice commands together, while escorting her to safety, they would have backed off. Many things can have been done looking back on this situation, but in truth, some people do not know or understand HOW to deal with a situation. I applaud this man for stepping in, but his actions afterwards were not any better than the group there to fight. It should tell you if a group of girls are coming to fight someone, they may not back down from you. All of this has to be noted and accessed before you move into action. Sometimes good intentions leads to bad decisions. This is one of those times.
