Ok guys I’ve been keeping this to myself because it was kind of embarrassing, but about 2 weeks ago I was driving down the road at 30mph and the hood decided to open up on me. Luckily I had the windows down, wasn’t in heavy traffic and was close to home. This was the result. I didn’t trust any of the hinges or latch so my wife brought my 4R out and we strapped the hood to the rack for the 5mi drive home. Kind of in shock it happened, especially driving home with the broken windshield. Luckily this was the ONLY scratch to the hood. Zero structural damage was done to the hood, just bent the hood support brackets, broke the glass and this small scratch and no one hurt. Extremely lucky!! Before the day was done I ordered new OEM glass all around, SALEEN window decal, hood support brackets, hood pins and scheduled it for tint.
