First update today.

This car seriously needs a shift light. It pulls so hard and keeps pulling the higher the RPM and the good lord knows you don’t want to take your eyes off the road. I also didn’t want something big or bulky.

This is an Ozniun 6mm 12v LED bolt, the Holley HP EFI triggers it, right now it’s at 6700 rpm, wanting to shift around 7k.

Next, I installed the anchor for the drivers side floor mats. It’s the little things...

Wise choice with the anchor! Can be a little sketchy if the mat gets under the throttle pedal.

I’m pretty proud of how the Cobra Engineering thermostat/cross over delete turned out. It looks amazing!

Grabbed a video of the 6mm Oznium light. I think it’ll be bright enough, but I need to get the car out on the bright sun. It’s a small LED, we’ll see. I have the 11mm version too, but I may need to add a dimmer to that one.

Shouldn’t that car pull much higher? I’d expect shifting around 7000?

You’re correct. I typed it out 1k less than what it’s set at, thanks for catching that!

Also, last update for the weekend as tomorrow is all family time. I hit up my favorite pick and pull yard today and grabbed two great front fender liners. Car didn’t come with any and I couldn’t handle the small rocks and dust getting tossed onto the door hinges causing MAJOR squeaking when the doors were opened.

The culprit:

Due to the mods, it took a little heat and persuasion, rotating clamps and a few curse words but they both went in without too much fuss. I’m hoping I don’t rub too much on them. I grabbed a second set in case I need them.

If you find that the factory liners have rubbing issues due to extra fuel lines, wiring, plumbing etc you might want to look into a set from rock auto. I replaced mine due to having rubbed through in a few spots and the aftermarket ones were much more malleable/softer. Made bending around all the extra stuff crammed in the fenders much easier.

Killing it bro

Thanks Joe, means a lot coming from you!

Very small update tonight.

I’ve never liked how Ford grounds the mustang on the radiator support, it just looks terrible. I was going to ground it elsewhere but the paint is of course pretty damaged to ensure contact. My solution was to polish 3 stainless 6mmx1.0 bolts and washers and mount the straps under the support. Simple and turned out much nicer.

Focusing on detail, is there another type of hose clamp that you could use for the hoses that show up in your picture of the passengers side after shot?
If that were not a close up picture you would might not ever notice.

Yes! I've ordered a ton of the Gates heat shrink hose clamps. I'm hoping to replace all my hose clamps with that style, it will look much nicer.

Small update today, after several orders of various parts , I finally got the correct combo of parts to install the H&R front sway bar that Joe sent with the car. Like most, he didn’t install it, but had the foresight to have it powdered and included just in case the future owner wanted to install a front sway bar.

I really didn’t care at first, but the car was rubbing pretty bad on the outside fender when taking hard turns at speed. I figure with 900+RWHP I won’t notice the added weight.

Installing the front sway bar completely fixed the rubbing. It was a good trade off!
