Now that the 5.2L GT350 Blocks are available to purchase, I am extremely interested in finding out more information about them regarding a short-block build for my '14.

From my understanding, I can use my crank & heads with this block with no problems which would be a big plus!

Aside from above, we know that the coolant passages are reinforced as evident in the pictures & that it has the same spray-weld plasma cylinder coating found on the 13-14 GT500 block.

Does anybody have any more information out there regarding the building of these?

Also, the block isn't much stronger than stock and once that liner is skied you have to either get it reline or it is a throw away from my understanding.

Great read! Thanks for the thread. I don't know why I didn't find that before in my search.

He made great power!

Also would like to speculate that if an un-sleeved coyote with good internals can hold 1000hp, my guess is that this 5.2L block would be able to hold the same or more. I may be wrong, because I was speaking to a member on here that works for FoMoCo, he mentioned that the webbing on the back of the Voodoo block is very weak. Apparently they blew quite a few of them up on the dyno.

As far as the liner goes, I would think that you could reline it or sleeve the block, if the liner is skied. I haven't really heard of that happening on the GT500 blocks.

Doing a short block for my 13 now. Head studs are shorter and 12mm, can't hone the cylinders for skirt clearance and oil filter adapter is different so far. Know that puffer had ring problems I've been talking with total seal on solution.

I would say 900 would be about the limit with the voodoo block from what I have known about the sportsman block. I think Terry is using a Voodoo block for one his shop cars right now actually.

I would have hoped it would be more considering the beefing up they have done. I guess we will just have to wait and let others be the guinea pigs on testing them. Seems like sleeving a 2011-2012 block would be the most cost effective way to go.

Correct, we recently sent Terry a MMR Sleeved 5.2 Voodoo Block, in regards to strength they are what we believe to be the strongest to date (once sleeves are installed), in regards to the block/oil adapter it is the same as the 2015-2017, we also have the MMR Billet oil adapters in stock for the Voodoo / 2015+ Blocks. Finally, as someone mentioned the GT350 does use a custom head stud, MMR has the ARP version in stock here : http://www.modularmotorsportsracing...in_page=product_info&cPath=80&products_id=855
