I've been following this forum for a while but this is my first post really. I used to have a laser red 2000 GT with a 2.1 KB and a few mods. After having it for 13yrs I'd only accumulated 13,000 mi lol. So I realized I was just holding on to it and it was time to sell and move on. At the end of the day I've got to have a truck but have always drove no power v6's . New plan was to order a 2015 F150 with a 5.0 but about three weeks ago I ran across this 2011 with 20,000mi at a great price. It already had a leveling kit that made it look good but I had more than one person tell me it was 'cute'.. So I'm not done quite yet but I'm hoping it's looking closer to 'bad-ass' than cute now.
This is the nicest and best running truck I've ever had, this 5.0 runs great! Only have a SCT tuner so far but American Racing is building me a set of long tubes right now and hopefully after I sell my old rims I can upgrade to the full Cobra Jet intake next month to really wake it up :) I've also been told that the Boss cams and springs should be next on the list!
Thanks for looking!

Nice truck brotha! Should have got an Ecoboost ;)

LOL. 5.0 V8 > EcoBoost.

A real truck needs a V8, not some pseudo fuel efficient v6. The new Coyote 5.0 is arguably the best motor Ford has ever built - and gets nearly the same HP as the ecoboost and makes more power.

edit: noticed you own an EcoBoost. You own a very nice truck man with formidable power, I just am not a fan. I love my V8's

>real truck needs v8 (EB makes more torque at 2500rpms than the 5.0 does at peak rpm)
>5.0 nearly the same HP as the EB and makes more power (lol wat)

oky doky

Your LR GT looked really nice, but I love what you've done to your 5.0 F-150. I can see why you're loving it. I wish you the best with your future mods. Keep us posted. :)

Thanks for the compliments!
To clarify its a 4x4 with a front leveling kit not a lifted 2wheel drive lol. And ya I know Eco Boost is pretty awesome but you can't get that in a reg cab short bed unless it's a $40k Tremor . I've driven some Eco Boosts but didn't really impress me that much. I know they have a ton of potential but you just can't beat this 5.0 IMO. If nothing else just for that v8 sound lol. I'm still a little hesitant on the Cobra Jet set up but I've got a tuner that assures me it's a kick ass package. He has a similar truck that was pushing 420 rwhp with the intake and full Boss cams and springs with long tubes. While I won't be drag racing I am a power junkie and I'd be tickled to death with a NA 500 hp 4x4 truck that gets 18mpg.

Nice truck and you made the right choice ! But couldn't disagree more with this guy...

Eco-boost trucks have tons of issues !!! My 5.0 truck makes 520 rwhp and gets 25.2 mpg on the highway without sounding like a bumble bee ")

Are those 20s? I think the rims look too big, maybe because its a regular cab. I would have put 17s on it with 33s. For the price of the CJ setup you could piece together a single turbo kit.

While i know with first hand experience 19-21 is more than possible there is no way that truck is getting a true 25.2 @ 75mph. There have been dozens of test do OEM DIC setups being as much as 20% wrong. I know you are getting solid mpg as the 5.0 beats the ecoboost in numerous tests. But....25.2 is better than 150% of the other 5.0 owners. Very nice truck
