Op, you wont even enjoy the 2.9 whipple on pump gas. Is it doable, sure. Buts its on that fine line. Your going to complain about loosing low end tq and you are not taking advantage of that blower. Ill bet a tvs on 17lbs will beat a 17lb 2.9 whipple on pump gas. The only blowers I would run on pump gas on a STOCK motor would be the ported eaton, 2.3 tvs, 2.3 whipple, 2.6 kb, maybe the 2.8H kb. The 2.6 and 2.8kb I would run 19lbs. But I would stick with the 2.3 tvs. pump gas and 4.0 whipple dont belong in the same sentence. Thats just nonsense. You need e85, mega boost, built motor, and you will need a custom crank setup bc you will be snapping stuff left and right and the 4.0 will get hot as hell. If the blowers mentioned by the other members, what they recommended, and what I recommend arent enough, you then need to go turbo. After a 2.9 whipple, go turbo. I spoke to lots of west coast tuners who post on here and east coast tuners, if there customers want more power and they have a 2.9 whipple, they go turbo.
