Well I've decided that if my other car sells, I'm going to bite the bullet and order my dream rims. What I'm trying to figure out, is what to do for rear tires. I really want to do 345/30/18 BFG G-Force T/As but I'm not sure it's do-able with the IRS. I currently have 17x10.5 rims with 315 BFGs that are huge by big, and I have about 1/2 clearance between the tire and IRS knuckle with no spacers, and my rims tuck under the wheel well a decent amount. My question was, for those who have this setup, if anyone, how does it fit? I'm going to try to add some 1" wheel spacers to my current setup, to see where it puts my rim in relation to the wheel lip. I've been talking to BOSS 32V who has been a huge help, and I see he got his to fit great, but he has a SRA. Right now I'm hoping to run a 18x12 CCW LM20 with 8.3" backspace.

If nothing else, it looks killer.

Jesus. Everytime I see that I just want to call up CCW and make the order. The time it takes planning and measuring and re-measuring is the worst!

This Cobra has 345s but it looks weird stuffed on a 10.5inch wheel. I think it has an SRA though

BlackonblackSLS put 335s on a 18X13 wheel with the IRS, but I don't think he has an exhaust on his car.

Awesome, thanks for the link, that helped out a lot. I PMed him, hopefully he knows what the backspace on those wheels is.

Do you know if that Silver car you posted has 17s or 18s? It's hard to tell. Thanks!

I think I'm going to try a 18x12 with a 335/30/18 G-force tire. With a IRS I think the 345 tire is going to have to be pushed out further than I'd like.

Also to add to this, I put 3inch exhuast on my car, had to add .25 of spacer to the back of it to make it clear.. Still fits good, works out with the narrow tire, If I had a 345 it might stick out a little too far for my LIking....

This puts the wheel at 18x13 with 7.75 inches of backspacing.. THis is also with pulled fenders and a custom rear subframe... With a stock irs you are very limited on backspacing.. On a solid axle you can really go crazy...

I have bolted up the 18x13 inches wheel with 8.7 inches of backspacing into a solid swapped cobra..... And would fit a 345 tire and still be less than flush with the fender.. But would probly rub the inside... 18x12.5 with a little over 8.25 inches would probly be the perfect wheel and tire combo for something like a 345 tire on a solid car..

Thanks for the info. I wonder if I could get the 345 on a 18x11.5 with 7.0" backspace (basically the exact rim I have now, only 1" wider, which I think I have room to do outwards) and have it not buldge. I see one guy put them on 18x10.5s and they didn't look as horrible as I imagined. What are the pulled fenders?

That's about what the bacspacing on my wheels is, they were 6.3'' plus the added 2.5'' minus a 1/2'' spacer = 8.3'' Backspacing.

Here's a reference on tire bulge on different rim sizes for the 345/30/18 BFG Drag radial...I found this pics when i did my research before widening my wheels, anything under 11.5 would bulge too much IMO and would not get full contact patch...
