If I remember right, Nitto 315's tend to run a bit narrow, so you might get away with it. Not with BFG DR's, though; had to roll the fender lips, add a 1/4" spacer, and massage the inner fenders a bit to completely eliminate contact.

I have 315/35-17 Hoosier drag radials on my car. It is lowered and has a complete MM TA/PHB set-up. The inner fender area was clearance with a large hammer and the fenders were rolled. Would they fit and have appropriate room without rolling the fenders? Not on my car. Yours may be different. If a 315 is what you want, buy it and adjust accordingly.

I would address the movement of the rear end before stuffing the wheel wells full of tire.

Are the 1994-1998 Mustangs more narrow than the 1999-2004 models. I am asking because I know of a couple cars running 315s without any rubbing issues.

The R888Rs are wide as shit. I had already rolled my fenders but didn’t come down the sides very far, grabbed my fender and pulled it back out. I had run MT we streets and a few other 315s, never had that happen

Rolling them really isn’t a big deal

315/35 MT on an 11 inch wheel on mine. Rubs under extreme circumstances. Such as hard angles like turning into steep driveways.

I have 315s Nitto DRs on my 10.5 wheels and I don't have any rubbing issues. I am at stock height right now, so lowered might change that.

I had 315 Nitto 555s on my 98 GT and they rubbed on angled driveways with the stock control arms. I ditched the quad shocks and added MM Hd lower, JM upper control arms, H&R supersport springs and Eibach swaybars and no rub. I switched all the parts to my 97 Cobra vert when I got it and now have 315 MT Street Comps and still no rub. First wheels were 10.5 Bullits from American Muscle and now I have 10.5 FR500 from Latemodel Resto.

Fenders not rolled on either car...

i have nitto 315's on my IRS equipped SN95 and they do fit but my caster and camber is likely all out of whack so i'm not sure how usable that information is.

Edit: I completely overlooked the fact that this was asking about fender rolling. with IRS you'd need to roll the fenders if you were lowered. probably not if you were on the stock stick axle.

I have 315/35/17s on AFS Cobra R Replicas and they don't rub the fender, etc. I am lowered with Steeda Springs. The only issue I have is a slight rub on the quad shock.
