I put 373 in my 97 cobravert drove it for two months and have already bought 410s I say go at least 410s if its a dohc I drive on the hiway often hope this helps
4.30's if a dohc. Around town, your mileage will be about the same since you can drive in 4th with 4.30's while you would be driving in 3rd or even 2nd with the stock gears. Even on the road, if you keep it below 70, you can get close to 24 mpg with the 4.30 gear.
i've got a 95 cobra, which is a 5.0, so what would u recommend for that....Im thinking a 4.10, but what kind of gas mileage will i get, and what rpm will I be at on the highway at about 70mph?
For a 5.0 got with 3.73's. On the highway with my car and the same gears I get aobut 24 MPG. The problem with 4.10 on a 5.0 is the engine is not a rever like the DOHC's.
I would go with 3:73 in a 5.0. The MPG loss is not that big on the freeway.......It completely changes the feel of the car, when compared to stock 3:08's.
I would go with the 3:73s, I have been happy with them. I run at around 2300 rpm at 70mph or so. Mpg is staying around low to mid 20s on country driving.
With the 5.0, go with 3.73's.. They are great. 70 mph @ 2300 rpms. 80 mph @ 2650 rpm. Gas mileage will go down, if any only 1-2 mpg and the fun factor will go up 100.
If I were to put a 3.73 in my cobra. 95 cobra, 5.0, 5 speed. If I were to put the 3.73 in, if i were just goind down the road in 1st and stomped it would it spin very bad?
4.10"s in a 5.0 Cobra will work just fine. I had them in my car before I put the blower on. It drove fine. Very streetable when you drive normal, get on it and you'll know it. 80mph in 5th gear was about 2800rmps. I ran someone on the highway with those gears and let out at 120 and the car was still pulling. So don't worry about it being "to much gear". Besides the SN95 is a heavy ass car if it was a Fox I would only go 3.73 but since it's heavier you're better off with the 4.10 peace out.
