All good Jay....not disagreeing with your choice of blowers....just letting guys know that are on the fence that a turned down 4.2 is wicked quick and as nasty as a TVS on the street....I have a pretty basic set up.....5.4 Iron Block...Bryant Crank.... 3.55 8.8 rearend ....4.2 KB...L&M Cams...Big Gun Innercooler....ported and expanded lower manifold....10.5 compression....E-85...Factory ECU....Built 4L80E....Basic port and polish on the heads...the car will run 8.9-8.8 @ 157 making 19lbs of boost with the 4" pulley.....but......take a ride with ME on the street with the 4" pulley.....lazy and sluggish would not be your first thoughts when stepping out of the car....LOL....that I can guarantee.....LOL.....BTW....It is was just as nasty with the manual... I don't have any tracks around me that allow me to make passes without passing NHRA tech.....to me it didn't make sense to have a car that would only run 9.5's-9.3's @150+ since I was required to have a chute, 8.5 certified cage, and all the other safety equipment anyway. I upgraded my maxed out TVS....not a 2650...it wasn't out at the time.....to the 4.2 and I'm able to run right at my 8.5 cert....exactly what I was after.... Sounds like we are both happy with our set ups and there was no right or wrong choice by either one of us......my only reason for jumping into this thread was to let everybody know that a pullied down 4.2KB or Whipple is a beast on the street. Set up correctly and driven without fear but lots of respect the 4.2 will definitely hang with a max effort TVS and possibly have a little more head room up top....I did the full Navigator conversion on mine so 8K is no problem with my motor......BTW I'm running the 8.5's at 25# with the 3.5 pulley.....haven't even tried the 3.25 or 3.0 pulley.......yet...lol... Also.....this is from a guy that has maxed out the factory blower.....the first and 2nd Gen TVS blowers...3.4 Whipple.....and 4.2...
