I have 3.31 on my 2011 GT with some bolt ons including JPC long tubes, and a few other small things.. I love the 3.31 gear it has for regular street driving but contemplating getting the 3.73s.. So if anyone switched over to the 3.73s, have you seen improved track times?
Thank you

M6, 28inch tire with 3.73 requires 5th gear in 1/4mile. Don't do it.

Need more info.. How much are you willing to rev?

28 inch tall tire with 3.73's in 4th gear

110 @ 6500

118 @ 7000

127 @ 7500

135 @ 8000

If you don't run a boss or CJ intake stick with the 3.31's IMO

3rd gear goes to 112 at 7800 rpms with 3.31's, but with the CJ they're somewhat of a dog at the track. Awesome on the street, not so much at the track...

Here
In a da of 5014ft with 3.31, Boss intake, x-pipe, axle back, tune and cai I ran a 12.84 at 113. I'm very happy with the 3.31 gear set.

Had 3.31's in my '11 GT...Have 3.73 in my '14 GT and I love how it feels more lively...Moves out much quicker and more eager to go...Hard to explain...You just have to drive a 3.73 car and you'll see...Plus as mentioned above you can run supporting mods that raise your shift point so you can easily stay in 4th for the 1/4...

3.73 feels much better than 3.31 on the street, but at the track you'll need a good tuner, to tune for it. Otherwise it falls flat shifting into 4th (Auto) at about 1,000ft. If tuned correctly, it will keep pulling though.. Don't have any pre-3.73 times, but I was mid 11's with them... I've since switched to a different gear. If your M6 I hear 3.90 is the way to go

Ok thanks everyone.. I had a great memorial weekend at the track (Inde Motorsport Ranch) although my sissy factory brakes failed me pretty early on.. I couldn't help it wonder what it would be like with 3.73s back there.. Anyway, I'll probably get them soon enough.. Sounds like its the way to go
