Hey guys, I've got a 2012 Ford Mustang GT with the 6R80 transmission. The car has been a best of 7.74 @ 93 mph with a 1.83 60'....the car has BBK shorty headers, BBK off road X, Roush axle-back, cold air intake, Shaftmasters aluminum driveshaft and a tune. SVE 17x4 fronts with 185/55/17 M&H Racemasters and 15x10 with 275/50/15 (26") Mickey Thompson ET Street radial S/S ran at 18psi. I've been tossing around the idea of putting a gear in the car but was wondering if the cost was worth the reward? I'm wanting to go from 3.15 to 3.31...I feel that any more gear (3.55, 3.73, 4.10) would be entirely too much because of how steep first gear already is in these cars. I plan on leaving the 26's on the car. I have BMR tubular K member, LCA's, LCA relocation brackets, UCA and mount, adjustable pan hard bar and a CHE brace all on the way for the car. I plan on doing a Circle D 4C converter in the near future but as of right now I'm just building the car in waves. What is your guys opinion on doing the gear swap? Thanks for the help!
