If we were using the inflation calculator it would be rough $43,352.19 (msrp) in 2021 based off the 29,935 msrp in 2004.

Why? It just doesn't make sense. Most likely $30k when new, property tax, tags and insurance to own in my state would have been around 13k for 18 years. And you only drove it 2000 miles. Again.....Why

Some of us enjoy ownership. We don't need to drive cars to enjoy them.

My mustang has 1500 miles since 2014

I think of that as like buying a TV and never plugging it in.
2003 Cobra 130k miles
Interesting perspective. I also get why some are willing to pay big money for a car to have it sit in their garage 90% of the time, just to gaze and drool over it.

There ARE people who buy a car as an investment (silly, of course) thinking it will return them a profit years down the road. In reality, that is rarely the case. It does happen occasionally, of course, when demand is really high and supply is really low.

That's your opinion.
There are literally thousands of people who collect things that they never use.
Some of us collect cars.

I’m the guy that would buy it purely because it was 100% OEM just to mod the shit out of it.

The list of cars I’d keep stock is shorter than an underdeveloped midget.
