I am not dismissing what you or anyone else may have experienced, but when you are talking the kinds of numbers that vehicles typically sell in and the thousands of parts in each of them, you really need statistical data to make any sort of verifiable determination.
Unfortunately, people (especially internet forums lol) are HIGHLY unreliable sources of information when it comes to these types of things. It's confirmation bias, which is human nature.
I know the surveys that track issues across brands typically do it by number of issues per 100k vehicles, right? And then there is average ownership cost per vehicle? Do they track any statistics on average repair costs over lifetime?
