Born and raised Brockton. Living in Naples.
My dad and I watched some last night. We always enjoyed these auctions together. He’s getting pretty old now. Last night he started asking if I remembered the specs of his 1970 Camaro SS vert. I said “Dad I was ****in 2 years old when you had this.”

“ Oh yeah I remember now. I once got pulled over for speeding with the top down and you in a baby seat in the back. You loved that car and would smile and laugh when I drove you in it. The cop said “Are you stupid for driving like that with a baby in a car seat?” As he handed me the ticket.”

He wishes he still had that car.

I miss "JK" !! The rest of the talking heads have made mistake after mistake. They bulls**t too much and cars get sold and these clowns don't mention the price...and going to yet another crew in the garage area, while the auction is going on, just hacks me off. A pristine 66 Mercury Cyclone was auctioned, and they failed to mention the motor or show it.....

@jshen, I agree with your comments about the Kissimmee auctioning details. It definitely felt different from what I remember from past Mecum auction events. It felt like some of the details about many of the cars going across the block were unknown, like the talking heads were unprepared in some cases. I don't remember that happening in the past. Overall, so far, I'm disappointed. I'll watch the auctions this afternoon and tomorrow, but might watch less than planned.

I skipped through a lot of stuff today to focus on more of what interested me. Tomorrow has a lot of creme dela creme, so I'll catch the important (to me) stuff. Just saw a nice 1966 Mustang GT K-Code (289) Fastback sell for $125K.

Watching the auction I see that the talking idiots in the garage add really nothing to the program but to cause commercials after every two cars auctioned. I tuned into this channel and I like Mecum but I don't like the way it's being broadcast by all these guys. Too many commercials! Too much BS amongst the garage idiots! I tune in to watch an auction and all I'm seeing is extended commercials and promos.
