Even in stock form heads(GT only)appear a wash. I’m sure(ish) anything else the Coyote has edge.

People have made 1200whp with a tvs trinity and 200 shot. I haven’t seen 1200whp short of 3L+ pd blowers and the like on 5.4’s and 5.8’s.
Regarding my tt power, it sounds like you have a max effort tvs build. I have 10psi wastegate springs, stock computer, and 62mm wheels and put 1200whp down. It usually takes 67’s+. I can change gates and turbo wheels and pick up 200whp on 30psi. I don’t see the point because even 20psi spins at 80mph and my car spends 99% if it’s life on 10-11psi making 800whp from 6000-8000rpm.
That’s a very fair statement. I think for max effort, a built 4.6 teksid with max ported gt heads is going to run door to door with a coyote build and last longer between tear downs but cost a lot more.
I think the coyote stuff makes more sense on the street and is much cheaper since the stock stuff works so much better with less boost, and porting is equally priced so you aren’t out thousands to get the holy grail parts then thousands more to rework them.
Considering an f150 5.0 and trans is $2500 on eBay or $3500 with the 10a, it doesn’t make financial sense to build mod mills for projects unless you already have one or really like the process and enjoy the fun/have the funds.
I think this new 5.2 rotating assembly will be a very stout unit.
Basically even ford spells it out for the coytards 2011-14 was not a 5.0 based GT500 lmao

I tell people to put a tvs on their 03 cobra’s and maybe do a head port with a stage 2 blower cam so yer not gonna put me off by propping the tvs on a pedistool

I think part of it has been the lengthy wait. Hopefully the arguments are practical and more productive once the car actually exists in hands outside of Ford.
