2018 Tesla Model S P100D
Midnight Silver Metallic
21” black arachnid wheels
0-60 in 2.5 seconds(!)

My client just purchased this new Tesla to replace a previous one. I am slowly but surely coating all of his vehicles.

Paint was in ‘as new’ shape, which means, full of orange peel, solvent pop, dirt nibs, water spots, marring, etc. A shame their quality control is not very good in the fit and finish department.

It was also covered top to bottom, front to back in artillery fungus! Oh, what fun!

I corrected it, glossed it up and coated this electric Q-ship up!!!

It was delivered with the incorrect wheel/tire combo. It has 19”s on it now. Tesla delivered the proper wheels (the unicorn of the Tesla world, they are that difficult to find/get) to me and I cleaned and coated them prior to installing them.

The before and after on this one is amazing. Was the orange-peel really as bad as the license-plate pic made it seem? If so, GOOD GOD.

And as for artillery fungus- what's your secret on those horrible little dots?

^^^^It had some peel that's for sure! Those shots weren't the peel though, that was the iron decontamination product running down! I've seen some close to that though! LOL

You will need to clay each individual speck in order to completely remove them and the stain they leave. PIA. You can help the process by using Megs Wash Plus+. It's like powerscrub type cleaner/soap. It helps in removing/killing the fungus.

Awesome detailing, Scott.

What a gorgeous car. Even more gorgeous now after the nice "spa" treatment. Love those wheels!
