This client was a referral. The Cayman was a Mother’s Day present for his wife. They wanted to get it ceramic coated for the protection and ease of cleanup/maintenance they provide.
The vehicle’s paint was in very good condition considering it has only been touched by the dealer. It had some minor swirls and marring that needed to be removed prior to being coated.

Tools/chemicals/processes/etc:

2BW with Adam’s car shampoo.
MF chenille wash mitts.
Iron decontamination was achieved with a beta test iron remover. (and it actually smelled fantastic if you can believe that!)
Clayed via Griot’s medium grade mitt.
Blow dry with Metro master blaster.
Paint readings by Defelsko.
Rupes Mark II 21, iBrid and 3” were utilized.
Misc. foam pads.
McKee’s37 polish was used to clean up the paint surfaces.
Misc. MF towels.
CarPro Eraser for final wipe down.
LSP was 22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.
Wheels were washed and clayed.
Tires were cleaned with Adam’s tire and rubber cleaner.
Wheel wells cleaned with Adam's APC.
Wheels were coated with 22ple VM1.
Calipers were cleaned and coated with 22ple VM1.
Wheel wells were cleaned with Adam’s APC and coated with Pro9H ceramic coating.
Exhaust tips were cleaned and coated with 22ple VM1.
Glass was cleaned with Adam’s glass cleaner and dedicated glass MF towels.
Ranger QuickJack for vehicle lifting duties.
Matco torque wrench for proper wheel lug torque.
Tire dressing was GYEON Tire. Baked on.
Vacuumed via Metro.
Interior cleaned up with McKee’s37 quick interior detailer.
Leather seat surfaces were coated with Gtechniq leather guard.

Thank you for taking the time to read/look at my post, and if there are any questions, please feel free to ask!

Thanks!

Can I ask how you got into detailing?

How can you put so much work into someone else car, then watch it drive away already getting dirty? lol

Awesome work by the way.

Thanks everyone!

M240: LOL, as long as it's not raining I don't mind! LOL. I've always been into cars, bikes, etc, and detailing/working on them went with the territory. Make a long story short, I started doing some friends/family/neighbors cars many years ago and I saw a good opportunity! I took it...

How many hours do you put into one show type car vs a soccers moms SUV? I like watching ammo nyc videos. But it just seems like so many hours detailing cars that aren't yours lol. I love cleaning my cars but after like a hour or two I'm so over it.

Also where I am I have never had a good detailer, the second one left so much wax dust all over the place, and didn't clean any of the black rubber window trim. Then the first guy that talked this big game that he could do this awesome job, but after having bad swirls, wax dust all over, and burning through the clear coat on the hood of my ferrari. I haven't let anyone touch one of my nice cars.

I average around 20-30 hours on most vehicles. I don't do many 'soccer mom' rides, but I still have around 10 hours into a 'normal' detail.

I'd be happy to do your cars the proper way!

Edit: there is what the baller detailer did to my ferrari. Burned the clear on the hood and front fenders, I will have to get the front end repainted. A

And all this wax all over the inside of the jams.

Sorry not trying to hijack your thread.

Sorry for asking dumb questions. Just crazy the hours you guys do to these car/trucks.

If you were near I would let you. I want to do my winter car and track bikes in ceramic coating so they just look like glass.
