A Bronco may come back on the Ranger platform as it always was. The F150ish SUV is the excursion.
That's one of the many articles that float around right around April fools day every year.
The Expedition is based off the F-150, and the Excursion is based off the F-250. They haven't made an Excursion in a while.

Wrong the Bronco in the 90's was based on the F150. The excursion was based on the 99+ F250-F350 platform.
Explorer was based off the Ranger Platform though.

I was incorrect about the excursion but I blame ford for naming everything ex...
The Bronco was based on the F150 platform from 1980 - 1996. The Bronco II (Not a Bronco, IMHO) was based on the Ranger platform.
