This just happened the other day. No service lights, just heavy steering. No repair shops want to mess with it, they say take it to the dealership because they have to be programmed. My car has a tune. If I take it to the dealership do I need to put the stock tune back in? Really like the car but the newer stuff just isn’t as simple to work on. Might just have it fixed and sell it.

If you have to replace the steering rack, then it will need to be programmed. It should not mess your tune up as it only programs the rack.
