Great! Now the "stupidly rich" can go into a bidding war for the 1st 137 while I wait a few more months for a reasonably priced 2016.

I'm actually quite shocked this is being done. Sounds like someone's last minute bright idea. Very very odd.

Welp. I'm good with waiting til spring 2016 for mine. Don't need to be 1st this time around haha

Except I have that pesky contract stating 3K above MSRP on their first allocation no matter the year.

I called the dealer to order. Now I have to waddle through the order process. Is it a lottery?
It wasn't suppose to be. But it might be.

I'm trying to find out now.

From my dealer

Subject: Ford Announces 2015/2016-Model Year Shelby GT350 including a Limited Edition of the 2015-Model Year and Full 2016-Model Year Production
Summary: Ford is excited to announce a limited run of Shelby GT350 and GT350R Mustangs will be produced for 2015 in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the nameplate.
In conjunction with this Ford is launching the 2016-Model Year Shelby GT350 Allocation Plan. This will be for the 2016-Model Year only.
The very limited (137) volume of 2015-Model Year allocation will be covered in a later communication.
The original Shelby GT350, introduced in 1965, established Mustang’s performance credentials on racetracks around the world. The all-new Shelby GT350, featuring the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford production engine ever, re-establishes Mustang as a world-class sports car.
Only 100 Shelby GT350 models (50 Technology Package and 50 Track Packages), and 37 Rs will feature a 2015-Model Year designation before production switches over to a full 2016-Model Year.
Ford Division Zone Managers will be contacting Shelby enrolled dealerships directly with their allocation.

So the big change for the mustang from 2015 to 2016 was Sync 2 vs Sync 3.

Which Sync will this limited run of 2015s have?

I know the "Draft" ordering guide stated 2015 with Sync 3 but there were other errors to.

What a nightmare for Ford. Way to piss off your dealers! From my understanding is that by buying into the program you would receive one allotment for each of the first two years. Now some dealers will receive a 15 while others will not? How many presidents award dealers does Ford have every year? About 400. Not even half of these, the best of the best, would receive the first year allocation. Crazy!
