2013 SHO HID Question

Just ordered a 2013 SHO and I know it comes standard with HID's. My question is does anybody know what temp they are? I'd like to have something close to 6k but I could make do with 4.3k.

Stock Taurus SHO HID lights are actually 4300K already.

All factory cars are 4300k. Why 6k and not 5k if you really want a better color? You lose a lot more lumens going from 4300 to 6000 then you do going to 5000.

I like the look of the 6k's better. I have them on my Edge now and like the whiter look without getting into the blue like 8k's.

Now for the next question, are they D3S's? I might look into changing them if it isn't too expensive.

The only DOT approved color for HID's is 4200/4300k anything else and it is illegal.

I'm pretty sure the actual limit is some retarded number like 5800k. 4300k puts out the most light so it makes the most sense for OEM's to use it.
