That paint is definitely going to chip.
Never had that problem on any of my pre-11 Mustangs!
Just beware at how expensive the 2013 tail lights are. A member on here recently had his driver tail replaced due to a faulty wiring issue, and the reciept showed $980 for one light.
bwahaha so $2k for 2 tailights? Ford must be loving this lmao
Hell no, I'd so put those $2k towards go mods..
Sorry, actually only $880...
Oh yeah, that sounds really reasonable
With those $2k worth of tailights/bumper i'd so get other go mods that I'd enjoy a lot more. I'm sure eventually the price will go down a lot on those.
Dang, I hate that my car looks like a Shelby.....
There is nothing about the 2013 that I dislike... (I own a 12' btw) ... however, I would not trade my 12' and take on a $3k-$5k hit, plus get raped for a new 2013... not worth the $ for me to trade cars...
My opinion is almost exactly opposite of yours, LOL. I think the 2013 rear looks better than the 2011-2012, but I like the front of the 2011 GT/CS way more than the front of the 2013 GT/CS or otherwise. However, if we're talking regular GT, I think the whole car looks better in 2013.
So yeah, everybody has an opinion
Yea that guy was me,..funny i posted in this thread before!
All the 13's look almost the same vs the 12's you knew right away what model you were looking at, Shelby GT/CS and the V6. I do not dislike the 13 they are growing on me now.
So the obvious action to take would be to buy a 2013 mustang ad replace the hood and front bumper! You get the nice upgrades of the 2013 with the sleekness of the 2012's. Plus it would be cheaper to replace the 2013 bumper and hood with 2012 parts than it would be to replace 2012 rear with 2013 rear valence and LED tail lights. I know that's what I am going to do when I am out of college and all... ha
2013 Fogs might be slightly different than the 2010-2012 fogs though...
I would trade some one front ends for there 13...nah no I wouldn't....LOL
I was planning on replacing the grille anyways. Or maybe even get the GT Street Scene front bumper with the Eleanor style grille? I have lots of time to decide seeing as I am a freshman. Heck maybe I will like the 2015's more than the 2012's. Although the concepts I have scene are pretty disappointing.
Not saying that the 13 is ugly, but the only thing I like about it more than my 12 GT/CS are the tail lights.
Learn to love your rear end. Maybe tint your tails. There's a member on here that does it for a great price. Not too dark of a tint either. You can choose light medium or dark. That's a waste of money imo to go out and get a new bumper (which doesn't have the trim btw) and to buy new lights.
I know I'm late on the conversation but see I think the 2013 are sexy as Hell. Now the reason I think that is because they look kinda like a Shelby front end wise and those tail lights damn. The part that sucks about that I have a 2011 Shelby and now every Damn time my girlfriend sees a 2013 6 banger she is like hey look at the Shelby. Now this crap goes back to the 99-04 bodies I had a 03 cobra sonic blue my buddy Dave had a sonic blue 6 banger. I went to this house party and brought my 03 cobra, a buddy of mine showed up and was like hey where is Dave at his car is here.....Gayness!!!!!
bootleg Shelby looking wannabe
I'm thinking on my 13 or 14, swap to 12 Halogen headlamps, remove the stock trunk blackout panel and install the same one I had on my 12. Haven't figured out what else needs to be done to fix the front end, after I get one and stare it it for a while something will come to mind. It won't involve chicken wire either
