There's a 2011 GT500 for a decent price in my area, at least what I think is a decent price. How does a 2011 GT500 compare to my 2013 5.0?

I thought I read one time that the 13/14 5.0's are about the same performance wise as the 11/12 GT500's.

I've never had a GT500, so I don't have a baseline to compare them.

It's a GT500. I would of dropped my last 5.0 for one if I could of. I was saving up for the Cobra but then Biden took over & there went my hopes of one out the window. Probably not the answer you looking for but Im sure some of the actual owners of one will chime in.

As many of these threads you have I'm pretty sure you want the gt500. If you have a clean coyote just buy a blower, there are too many unknowns with a used car

Go with the 5.0 gt hands down.
47# injectors and E85 tune, tires ... it will be a GT500 killer with 3 mods.
Especially the 5.4s

Don't believe the hype.

I would say go with the GT500. Last generation of manual trans GT500, makes great power. The 2011 has the aluminum block and upgraded steering etc, so you are not missing out on much. GT500 will always be more desirable then a GT, it's not all about performance.

Not sure there you are getting this information. For very little money on a GT500 you can put on a smaller pulley, new intake and throttle body plus a tune and you are 600 WHP. No GT can get near that without being boosted.

Right... but 600whp gt500s are slower than 450rwhp coyotes.

My information comes from being at the racetrack most weekends and talking with people about mods and their cars and then seeing their objective metrics posted on the board. Over and over again.
Now they may MPH more up top... but with a slower ET.

The 2013 S197 5.0 is literally the same platform as the S197 GT500, only difference is the engine and some other beefed up parts. Therefore, being factory supercharged allows for significant gains with very little effort. Just because you have been to a racetrack and seen this or that, does not account for drivers ability, car setup etc. I would need to be shown proof that a 450 WHP S197 coyote is an all around faster car then a 2011 GT500 with 600+ RWHP with all other things being equal.
