[QUOTE="Riddick, post: 16605892, member: 143188"] We have only spent a few hours on the car all week, been super busy and the next two weeks are going to be the same. However, we did manage to get the old block completely torn down so we are officially putting it all back together! This morning we tried to reorganize a little before we get to far into assembly. The block is now on the engine stand and the oil pump, pick-up and pan are all installed. I picked up the heads from the machine shop on Friday, everything checked out good.... we resurfaced and cleaned them. Outside of that I cleaned up the engine bay a tad, removed the pad on the firewall and wiped everything down. Slow progress but still progress :). All the parts are at my friends house so this week we plan to swap out the valve springs and at least get the heads torqued on the block. I will try to document some of the assembly progress but I often get in the zone and forget. Im getting excited now that we are assembling everything, with another 8-10 hours of work the engine should be back in the car!!
