It took me a few days to catch up to life in general at this point. The trip took 74 hours down and back, and 50 was in the truck running and driving. That and I slept in the damn thing too, so I was ready to be done with vehicles for a few days. I had to have the garage plowed out, as I haven't been using it this winter so far. After it was cleared, my stepson and I headed over to unload the car into the garage. We grabbed a wheel off the T-bird we have to get it to roll off the trailer. After we swapped the tire, we found the trailer was missing a ramp. I had made the whole trip down there without a way to load the car. Thank god they dropped her on the trailer for me! Front drivers wheel shot. You can see the body harness is trashed. The struts and springs and everything will get swapped out of her. After we but the tires on, we found the front brakes to be locked up. Not sure if there is pressure locked in the brake system, not letting the wheels turn? I know the drivers side rubber boots were probably melted to the rotor, maybe even the wheel bearing was baked dry and seized. Looks cool with a big bullet wheel.... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand more engine bay pics. Here you can see the front of the blower cleaned up a little bit. I grabbed some brake clean and a rage and was curious how the case would look. It cleaned up really well. I'm happy it does. Another shot of the front/heaviest damaged part of the harness. Drivers side pic. You can see in this pic that it melted the intake tube, but the rubber coupler is still pretty much intact. When you pull the old intake tub off, you can see the light colored coil cover under it is still pretty straight. It even left the letter imprints in the plastic, and a pic tool pulled a bunch of the burnt plastic off pretty easily too. Engine bay p0rn, if you're into that messed up kind... Even some brake clean on the passenger side valve cover showed more blue paint. One cheap battery for sale. Probably only putting out 3 or 4 volts at this point though. Firewall pad is still there too. Brake booster even operates as it should, even though the master is shot. Wiper cowl got warm, but the wiper transmission and bushings look to be intact still. Radiator carnage. All that will have to go. Nothing good to see here.
