Here's what I would like some help on.
Trying to decide which year model would be the better choice to go with.

What are some pros and cons for the 2011-2012 vs. 2013-2014 Shleby GT500?

I know the 5.4 was used in the 11-12 and the 5.8 for the 13-14.

Please, any info helps. Ive been reading write-ups and reviews from edmunds, car and driver, etc..
Just feel like they wont mention the real gritty issues people run into.

Though the 5.4 in the '12 is a fantastic platform the 5.8 trinity engine is the top dog here.

There is no comparison. 13/14 any day over the 12. The 12 is great on its own, but when comparing to the 13/14, like I said - no comparison.

between those two I'd pick the 13/14......Would take a BOSS over both tho.

'13-14 if you have the extra coin, '12 with a bigger blower otherwise. ;-)

?. We had a 13 LS trade the other day with 2400 miles. Of course I didn't go road race it, but I did punch it through 2 gears and felt thoroughly underwhelmed. It feels nothing like the blown cars that have instant power, and the lack of amenities is not a plus in a $40K+ mustang. I could've bought it for $31.5K which is what we had in it, I passed.

Fair point and a real argument can be made for the BOSS vs 13/14 GT500. Some are saying the 11/12 GT500 can match the performance of the 13/14 with a blower upgrade, which is true. A BOSS with a blower will surpass both and be more exclusive. It should hold value really well too. When you say amenities are you specifically talking about the head unit/Navi? That's an easy fix IMO.

Head/navi, cloth recaro's, etc... hindsight I should've bought it kept it a year and made $6K, but they sorta frown on that, plus it was black and I'm done with black cars. Any other color and I would've bought and dealt with the wife later. I have 13/14 blower on my 12, still not a 13 /14 car. They have better suspension, launch control, cf drive shaft, track apps, and mod for mod the 13/14 makes more power than a swapped 07-12. If OP has the coin 13/14 is the way to go.

Would go with the 13/14 if you can swing the extra $$$ (I purchased an '11 about a month ago because I couldn't, haha).

Any Shelby is a great car on its own, but the top Dog would be the 13-14 models, lots of improvements from FORD.

It all depends what you want...and what your wallet can afford........its a tough choice, buy an older model and save on cash and use the coin to mod it, or just by the 13-14 and leave it alone as its got enough jam to make ya happy.

The 2012 would be a tough sell if you wanted to get rid of it. Think of them as 99/01 cobra vs 03/04 cobra.
