Hey y’all

I’m thinking either kooks and or borla...short or long tubes? Goal nice loud sound, but max hp and torque, also good recommendations on CAI as well...

well, here's where i am at...

2021
kooks long tube headers to be installed later this month with a 5 star tune...hope to get 50-60 more hp/torque...not sure what to expect?

K/N blackhawk CAI installed
flowmaster super 44 installed
h-pipe installed

performance gains felt after CAI installed, improved throttle response big time...felt more torquey...

thoughts? comments?

You will love the tune on that truck, im assuming it also has 3.73 gears. I think you might be happier with a borla Catback with your long tubes. Also did you have the TSB done for the fuel pump? Im gonna assume with your new mods and tune your fuel pump demands will go up causing more heat.

Yes, 3.73 gears... no not to my knowledge on the TSB for the fuel pump... I am 2nd owner and only had one oil change at ford dealer...I have yet to do transmission fluid change and other fluid changes... at 72k miles at moment...

any other things I show check or change?

I would email 5 star tuning and ask them there thoughts on the fuel pump fuse/relay TSB. I know alot of Gen 1 raptors have had to have it done on stock trucks due to number 27 fuse melting that can leave you stranded. Definitely have the filter and fluid changed on your transmission. If you have not done so have all 16 spark plugs changed and check for coil and wires. Before you put the tune on it.

Sounds like a hell of a truck i love the 6.2L.

Before (stock manifold) and after (long tube headers)

photos...truck sounds considerably louder, got some very noticeable drone now...check engine light came on...cats removed... first impression WOW...however I felt low end torque and throttle response seemed slower than before long tube install... maybe I am thinking it’s just needs the tune and that will bring back the throttle response and torque back...thoughts?

You lost back pressure that is why you lost all that. Along with the check engine light due to cats being removed. You will need a Tune, id recommended sooner than later.
