So I have been working getting the balancer replaced and had to take the belts off. I loosened the accessory belt tensioner with torx bit and it came off. Question is when putting the tension back on, do you have to manually pull the tensioner over then tighten or does it pull over on its own when tightening it? Tight in there, just wondering...

You should have used a breaker bar to take tension off of the belt and remove the belt before removing the tensioner. You would install it the same way. Install the tensioner without hte belt and apply force with a breaker bar to move the tensioner to slip on the belt. Trying to install the tensioner with the belt sounds like a good way to strip the treads in the chain cover.
