2007 Shelby GT500

1 of 332 in beautiful tungsten grey with silver stripes. 1 of 52 with the red interior inserts.
This car has every factory option.
Original window sticker comes with the car.

I do a lot of Mustang racing and bought this car two years ago with the intentions of turning it in to a race car.
I wound up using the car as a driver and never got around to completing the plans that I had for the car(1000 horsepower, run 9's, et cetera...)

The car "lives" at Sonoma raceway in California. I took the car to our Wednesday night drags that we do here one time and ran five passes. I also did a track day with the car last summer at the Shelby Mini-Nats - also here, at Sonoma.
Anyway, this car is mechanically flawless, drives straight as an arrow, and absolutely everything works exactly as it should.
I bought the car with 29,300 miles on it.. now has 53,000.
We've used the car for road trips up to Tahoe, down to Palm Springs, and for things like that... turns out GT500's are excellent highway cruisers!

Oil and filter changed every 3,000 miles(receipts provided)
Maintenance at 50,000 miles included: Oil and filter change, coolant and intercooler fluid change, new fuel filter, new spark plugs, and new Ford Performance coils.

The car has some basic modifications which are as follows:

Bassani exhaust
Lloyd "Shelby GT500" floor mats front + rear
Shelby Super Snake side scoops
Shelby sequential taillight wiring harness
K&N cold air intake
Hurst line-lock(mounted next to the emergency brake)
Ford Racing "K" Springs (1.5" drop)
JLT front brake cooling ducts(Looks like the KR model)
Watts Link - This is a necessity on any solid axle S197!
StopTech brake pads all the way around
2013-14 GT500 rear "big brake" upgrade
2013-14 GT500 Pierburg intercooler pump with 2013-14 style intercooler pipe routing
* The stock intercooler pump went out so I replaced it with the superior Pierburg unit from the 2013-14 GT500's. This pump moves more fluid and helps keep intercooler temps down.

The car was in an accident at 15,000 miles. The car was being driven by the original owner, in the rain, in Petaluma. He slid off the road and went through a fence. The car sustained minimal damage to the front right corner(no airbags went off).

The original owner had the car "totaled" by the insurance company so he could get the insurance payout because he didn't want a "fixed" Shelby.
I spoke to him on the phone and that was the story that I got.

This car has a salvage title as a result.
However, it has passed the DMV inspections and is certified by the CHP.
This car insures, registers, and most importantly drives just like any other perfect Shelby GT500.

I have alignment specs and everything else to prove this car is straight - I wouldn't have bought it otherwise and I welcome potential buyers to do PPI's.
I have dozens and dozens and dozens of pictures which document the repair process of this car.
I also have every receipt for every part and for all labor... needless to say, there was no expense spared.
I'm pretty anal about my cars...and life in general and the level of care that was taken to fixing this car was second to none.

The car has two aesthetic issues.
The car was parked and someone nicked the driver side rear quarter panel and they did not leave a note. The second issue is on the lower passenger side of the front bumper. My mother, God bless her, moved the car out of my driveway after a family function so that she could leave my house. When she was pulling the car back in the driveway, she hit the curb, and lo and behold there was a new scratch on the front bumper.

By and large this car is a wonderful example of a well driven GT500 with an interesting history.
The car has been maintained perfectly, adult enthusiast owned, and the engine has never been modified with a pulley, tune, or anything like that.

If you are interested, please feel free to call or text me.
I am reasonably motivated to sell this car quickly.

Thank you!
