2006 f150 missfires

the truck has 70,000 miles on it and now suddenly after heavy rains or car washes, it will miss fire, assuming a coil or somethings getting wet, i can usually let it dry and clear the computer and its fine, why all of a sudden is it doing this

Make sure the connector going into the "coil driver module" is firmly plugged in. Those weatherpak connectors should not leak at all if properly locked together.

I had that exact same problem on a 07 F150 and it was a loose, not properly engaged, connector.
