Eh, faux pas lingo as I guess it should be SOHC 24v despite the fact it has two cams. As for the rest of the video and comments, I never understood the the 3v hate. The 05-09 cars pretty much saved the Mustang and enabled it to become what it is today. Those things were literal rockstars when they hit the streets. I got chased by people and cameras constantly taking delivery of first shipement 05 cars back in late ‘04 etc. They’re still great platforms and good looking cars when done right. IMO they’ve aged well to become double retro at this point and are the most ‘Mustang’ looking of all s197/s550 cars. Maybe I’m biased but I loved mine and took out my share of coyote cars with some boost. Toss some rods in one and you have a decent little setup that packages like an LS. As for FGT talk, the New and old are on different planets from different universes. One is Americana, the other is probably one of the best styled and valued modern HyperCars on the market. They probably shouldn’t be compared aside from an evolutionary standpoint. The 05-06 FGT was a brute, and it woke up in a hurry. Stock, I didn’t find our shop car very appealing. However it woke right up with a muffler delete, pulley/snout, TB and tune. Still I hated the forward blind spots and shoddy - dangerous - electronics/security that would trap you inside the car. It scared me quite a bit not knowing if I could get out in the event I needed to. It was a concept car brought to production and it felt like it. Still, extremely cool. The late FGT is like being able to buy an actual LeMans racer for the street. The tech and quality is just mind blowing. Yes, the V8 is gone, but sound aside I don’t think that’s what the FGT was meant to represent. I won’t tell you noise isn’t important, but in that car it’s not priority. $.02
