Depends what trim level you have. If it's an XL/XLT it raises/lowers these little mounts for your boots in between the cab and bed

If it's a Lariat or higher it increases/decreases the firmness of the foot massagers

I don't think it has foot massagers. LOL. It DOES have a pedal adjuster and massaging seats. The button would seem to be for the pedal adjustment.
