2005-2008 mustang gt rear end axle splines ? 28 or 31 stock?

I know the shelby gt500s have 31s but what about the gts? 28 or 31?

All GT's are 31 spline...V6's are 28 spline...only the gear ratio's are different...I think most GT's have 3.31's and the option of 3.55's....My 06 GT premium has 3.55's stock.....

Yup. There will be a decal on the diff. cover that will tell you whether it is 3.31 or 3.55.

'05 & '06 GT's came with 3.55's

'07 + come with 3.31's, with 3.55's as an option

the change was to meet CAFE standards
