I want to document what’s about to happen on the car. Nothing special or unusual but I’ve done this with my previous 2 mustangs (2001 GT and 1987 GT).

2003 Redfire Vert - 73,500 miles (I bought it with 69xxx miles back in Jan 2021).

Currently has:
Ported Eaton, 2.76, Dragon plenum and single blade TB, JLT, LFP heat exchanger, Borla stingers, suspension, Exedy Mach 600 clutch, FRPP girdle, yada yada

Makes 470/484 *Before the port on an old 2.81 pulley. Probably close to 500w now maybe 510w on a good day….

What’s being installed in the next few weeks:
Kenne Bell 2.8, 3.5 pulley, 80 lb injectors, BA3000, Fore return style with FC3 controller and 450 pumps (-8,-8), E85, *4lb lower might go on now or later…undecided still. I also need to put on my MM Subframe connectors but I’m not sure I’ll get to that just yet.

What will need to be done at some point due to the power increase:
26 spline input, twin disc, *I might go solid rear but if I stick with the IRS I’ll do half shafts. Maybe 3.73 or 4.10 gear.

I’m starting to get excited again about this car and hobby. Let’s see what she makes in the near future. Should be a fun little car. I will miss the Ported Eaton whine. Nothing like it. I’ll load more recent photos in the next few days. Start up tune should be here within the next week or two.

There we go buddy. Spark the fire under that ass and get it done. Glad to hear you’re wrenching and maybe getting the love back for it. Great to see! Keep it up man, Goodluck. Let us know if we can help.

Run 22+ psi on corn and let her scream. You will hear the blower with higher boost. Not like an Eaton but you will enjoy it.

Which means I need the 4lb lower on it. I’m not opposed to doing that now but it’s a bear to install and adds a lot more time. I should just do it since I’m already in there.

Yeah I love it too. I had a performance red, tan top 2001 GT that got totaled. This car is a homage to my old car and I do like this combo a lot. I’m older now so I appreciate the tan too more then I did back in the day.

I run a 2lb lower, 3.25" for 22 psi. 2lb lower with 3" for 26 psi. You can get 22 psi with upper only on the blower.

3.75" should be 18.5 psi alone, each 1/4" is 2lbs on the blower. With headers, it will drop 1/2-1.5 psi depending on which ones.

I should be around 20 then with my 3.5 upper.

I started taking it apart tonight. I need a second set of hands lifting this blower out. I’m taking the blower/lower manifold out as unit…just awkward and heavy enough to be annoying.

I finally got my start up tune from my tuner. Should be running by early next week.

Pull the battery, get right in the engine bay, one foot on each frame rail. Put some padding on radiator top support, then lift that thing out. Place on rad support, get down then lift it the rest of the way out. The Eaton is crazy light compared to the KB. I do the KB myself this way.

I literally did that after I posted this.

Blower is ready to go in…

I had to buy an Accufab TB. The dragon doesn’t fit the KB. I’m not sure why I didn’t research that before but oh well.

@03' White Snake There is not a lot of room for the upper IC coolant hose. Will this pose a problem? I guess I’ll find out this evening but seems to be a potential issue…wasn’t sure if you came across this on your setup.

My 2.9 sticks out above that fitting and I haven't had any real issue so far. My temps seem inline with everyone elses.

The hose fits but it's certainly close and sits on the housing. It'll probably be fine.

Now I need to route all my vac lines. I am not running any EGR stuff so all this routing is a bit annoying.

Deadlifting came in handy for once in my life. That was quite the install...

It will rest on the upper hose, no issues. Mines been this way since 2010.
