Oh wow. I might just get that Whipple adjustable idler to avoid all the guess work. I think I'm 3 100's, will have a 3.75" and 4# lower with a 76mm snub I think (the one thats near the 4# lower)

Yeah I had to make a couple trips to the store. The adjustable idler is the way to go. They didn't really have anything like that back in 05 when I bought my snub idler.

I might just take a string and measure where in at now and compare it to my current belt and then do the same when I swap. Just ran my last pass on my 2.3 TVS yesterday and now it's coming off and the 3.4 is going on.

That's awesome! Crusher or regular inlet? Let me know if you have any questions with the install.

Lmao yeah same I missed that one HARD. The Crusher inlet. About 25 to 26 pounds of boost to start with I think.

Bringing this one back for a update. Ordered a J2fab crank support with the innovators west dampner. I'll be documenting the installation in the next couple weeks while the car is tucked away for the winter.

Ok so I'm back to working in my car after a year. Got the stock balancer off and removed the crank seal. It was a little difficult to remove. I used a screwdriver and knicked the inside of the timing cover ever so slightly. Think I should put a small dab of rtv when I install the new seal? You can see it in the picture. Here are a couple random shots

Probably not the correct way, but I used a socket that was the same size that covered with tape .(it was a assembly socket for flex joints on a jeep). It was the exact same size as the seal and it slid right in when I lightly tapped it with a hammer..

I also scrapped mine as I pulled it out with a seal puller.. put a very light coat of black RTV on it and I've been good so far.

So I didn't have much luck trying to fabricate my own install tool for this crank seal. I'll admit I didn't try a appropriate sized socket, but I went ahead and ordered a seal install tool.

Got the tool today and worked perfect. The stud that comes with it is too big and will not fit in the crank so I used a 100mm bolt from the hardware store. Made this really easy and drama free.
