2002 Mustang GT coupe
VIN: 1FAFP42X12F222463
86,818 miles (may go up slightly as I drive car)
Clean title in hand
Deluxe trim (non Mach 460)
Automatic
Mineral Grey paint
Dark Charcoal interior
Exterior rated 7/10 (small issues noted below)
Interior 9/10
Lots of maintenance records and receipts

I purchased the car in 2012 with 62,000 miles. Always garage stored, never driven in winter, has seen rain only a handful of times. Oil changed once a year with Amsoil Signature Series 0w30. Car has been perfectly reliable. Drives awesome, handles well, and sounds great. Doesn’t burn or leak a drop of oil.

The transmission was replaced by Brooklyn Ford in August 2010. It carried a full Ford 3-year/36,000 mile warranty. The previous owner of the car had the work done. Since I purchased the car in 2012 with the transmission already installed, I do not know the exact miles on it. If I had to guess, I would say it currently has between 25,000-35,000 miles. A J-Mod was done in July 2013. The 2-3 accumulator bottom spring was removed for slightly firmer shifts, and the valve body separator plate was drilled to Jerry W’s specs. The transmission is stock other than that. Never been raced or beaten on.

There are a few small issues:

•Air conditioning is not functional. The clutch short cycles every 5 seconds and blows semi-cool air. I replaced the low pressure cycle switch without success. Manifold gauges were used to check low/high side pressure. Readings were normal. I just never got around to getting it fixed.

•Some rock chips/scratches expected for the mileage. A good paint correction would fix a lot of imperfections.

•The paint underneath the rear fender lips is cracked/split on both sides from rolling the fenders. It is only noticeable if you look underneath the lip. A paint shop should be able to sand down the affected paint and blend in new. Aside from these issues, the paint is in great shape for the age and mileage. Shines up nicely with tons of metallic flake in sunlight.

•Small amount of wear on driver seat bolster. Driver seat also has small burn hole from a cigarette. Damage was done by previous owner of seats; the car has never been smoked in.

•Cobra tail lights have the notorious black oxidation inside. Definitely not the worst case of it, but far from perfect.

•Minor surface rust on subframe above fuel tank.

•Small, barely noticeable dent on passenger side quarter panel below quarter window.

•One rear tire was sliced by the rear fender. I had a tire shop look at the tire and they said it’s safe. The sidewall was not damaged.

•Headlights are slightly bubbled inside from the HID’s. It in no way affects the lights, purely cosmetic.

Asking $6500. Sale includes stock front bumper (paint is flaked off in a spot), stock tail lights, and stock gauge cluster. Car is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I can be contacted at: [email protected]
