Hello I'm new to this forum let me start by telling a little about my car.
I have a 2001 gt with all the basics pullies,, 75mm tb and plenum, plenum spacer, catless xpipe, magnapack catback, bbk lt headers, Comp 268ah, votech air to water cooled kit @ 6psi. The car made 400rhwp here in ny. The question is since the t45 is the weak link I want to swap in a tkx. I'm trying to figure out the speedo situation? has anyone done this swap and willing to help thanks

T56 is more popular, any reason you want to go with the TKX?

Just because the car came with a five speed and I would like to keep it five speed. But removing the t45 is such a pain. That's the only reason.

So I messaged tremec they said the tkx that's ford specific already has a 12 tooth tone ring for a electric speedo. Does anyone happen to know if that's the same as the t45?

Call a swap specialist like American Powertrain. There are a few others.
Several places will have the components and info you need.
Good luck, I’m putting one in my ‘93 Cobra but haven’t started yet

bought my TKX kit from SST. they give you everything you need. its fairly easy to swap, especially vs a T56, from what I've read at least.

just finishing up the break in process and it is SWEET!
