Again, the eyebrow raiser here is the MASSIVE price differential of a chipping a $50k Cobra R into a a shell and building a race car vs buying a $500 shell and building a race car.

There isn't exactly a comparable for the Viper V.

I try not to guess people’s financial decisions. It’s obvious the op is comfortable shelling out this amount of coin for his project. While some people may not agree, I don’t think he’s sweating it. We all pay more for things that others may think is silly. I know I do all the time. “Expensive” is a very relative term. People do $100k+ builds on lambos, r8’s, gtr’s, vipers, etc all the time. Financially that makes no sense either. Some think it’s crazy, some have no issues with it. These are just cars. Meant to be enjoyed by the owners of those cars.
