Bullseye NLX 72/87s
Awesome build. I can't wait to see it finished.
It’s so funny watching people get up in arms about what others do with their belongings. Funny I rarely every see this type of crying say with viper guys buying ACR-E cars and doing big power turbo roll racing builds. Never do I hear anyone mention it would have been cheaper to buy a base model LOL
Mustang owners amiright
Ever get those oreos? Cool build
They’re on the way
It’s all stupid expensive, e9 was ridiculous (laser red from 1999)

Sweet build, plenty of these cars went straight into the time capsule wrapper, no harm done.
Link to said builds?
Again, the eyebrow raiser here is the MASSIVE price differential of a chipping a $50k Cobra R into a a shell and building a race car vs buying a $500 shell and building a race car.
There isn't exactly a comparable for the Viper V.
I have that on my 98, and yes the tricoat isn't cheap. There's a 2 stage available, but I've seen it in person parked next to my car. Guy just got it painted, and it just doesn't have the depth.
go join a viper page on a social media platform. Sometimes when it comes to large scale builds just throw price point out the window. Who really cares? It always seem like the people who act all “how dare you” cut up said car aren’t buying them anyway.
min sure if the OP was worried about the money he would have started elsewhere anyway. Apparently it’s a non issue.
So now that I read the whole thing, here is my none mattering opinion. ****ing AWESOME! I understand several points of view and the only one that matters is yours. Your car, your build. I would love to do a half mile-mile event one day. Wanted to do Texas mile in my old convertible. Very nice cage work! Smart to give over and above instead of almost enough. Racers die every year from not enough or ’it’s a street car’
I look forward to watching this build!

Certainly a valid point for the majority but it doesn't appear that the OP has any concerns around money. I think it's a awesome build but what the car will be worth in say 30-40 years compared to if it was left alone will be interesting. Personally, if I was building something that had to have the cobra badge, I would of started with a 99/01.
Do you have any more underbody pics showing the attachment points for your roll cage and subframe connectors? Looking for inspiration on a cage for my fox.
I'm just feel guys that do this are doing it for the attention. No one cares about a fast V6 shell, but look at all the excitement, likes and follows you get when you chop up a Cobra R.
No one is making you like or follow the build.
White knight much?
Not at all. Just don't see a reason to come in and clutter up someone's thread with your beliefs.
Definitely not spending a bit and “ruining” my car for likes. I’m doing it because it’s gonna be awesome, fun, and make great memories. It’s really that simple.
I will get those when the suspension is in
