I was getting gas with my '93 Cobra one day and this kid (I'm 34 guessing he was 19) comes up and starts talking to me about my car. He mentions he's rebuilding a '86 SVO. Thought that sounded pretty cool, but a lot of people have big dreams and Denver is a big city.

1 year later I'm driving through my neighborhood, literately 3 blocks from my house, and sure enough there is the damn car. 10493035_10202553710708863_3336716701088536772_o.jpg906626_10202553710548859_6224894459932782513_o.jpg

The SVO's are really nice cars, as I have a 86 comp prep, however his SVO is an 84 not an 86 as the 85 1/2 and 86 have the aero flush headlights. Glad he restore it.

Good catch. I asked if it was a 1985 for the same reason. But it is actually a 1986. The only lights he could find during the restore were the recessed and not the flushed lights. He told me he's been digging through Craigslist and junk yards for a few years.
