2 Piece headers (Flowtech, Hooker, etc)

What needs to be done during install? Do I need to weld where they connect or are they snug enough to leave alone? They will also be wrapped.

Wrapped = bad idea. If they are well made then no you do not have to weld the should seal themselves.

Wrapped headers trap moisture and then it's all downhill from there. I wouldn't do it on a street driven car. Race car then go for it.

It won't help as much as wrap but I would Jet Hot 2000 coat headers on a street car. It will reduce temps some.
